Colton J. McRae is a graduate of Mercer University (B.A. in Political Science) and Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law. While in law school, Mr. McRae received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Professional Responsibility, Local Government Law, Election Law, and Healthcare Law. Mr. McRae represented the University as a member of the Mercer Advocacy Council on the Mock Trial Board where he served as trial counsel in national and state competitions and was awarded the Best Advocate award at the Trials and Tribulations competition. During his time at law school, Mr. McRae founded the Rural Law Student Association, which recognizes the unique issues faced by attorneys in rural areas and focuses on advocacy for those who practice in rural areas. Mr. McRae was elected to become a member of Phi Delta Phi which is the oldest legal organization in continuous existence in the United States. Mr. McRae is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and he is admitted to practice in the Probate, Magistrate, State, and Superior Courts of Georgia as well as the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
Mr. McRae practices primarily in the areas of insurance defense and civil litigation. Mr. McRae’s experience prior to law school includes working for the Georgia House of Representatives.
